Vazeh Asgarov conducted seminar-training to the students of the University of Strasburg
On April 7 -12 of this year, Advisor to the rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Vazeh Asgarov was in Strasburg, the city of France for the purpose to negotiate in the direction of development of relations between Azerbaijan University of Languages and the University of Strasburg.
Note that the history of the relations between the two universities is nearly 20 years. The result of 
these relations is that, the biggest students’ teams from Azerbaijan continue their education in Strasburg.
The Azerbaijani Students' Association in France that joins independent Azerbaijani students and known with its broad activity was established in 1999 in France. The first filier groups (extra groups) were organized at Azerbaijan University of Languages since 1998 and each year tens of students went to study in this city. The further expansion of relations is still on agenda.
During the visit, advisor to the rector Vazeh Asgarov met with Francis Kern, vice rector for International Relations of the University of Strasburg, Stephane de Tapia , director for Master’s degree of the department of Turkish languages of University of Strasburg, Kolet Delavenay, collaborator of University of Strasburg.

The main purpose of the meeting is to develop student exchange programme, to organize separate seminars and courses in different fields for teaching staff in the frame of this programme, as well as short period visit of students to France for language courses.
With the help of a high range technology in the near future organization of master lessons and conferences from distance are discussed.
At the same time students of the Department of Turkish Language to attend seminars and courses at Azerbaijan University of Languages is also planned. Mr. Kern, in his turn stated his attention to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan University of Languages and, spoke about a new project that will be created at the University. So, as to this project the graduates of the University of Strasburg and the one, who carry leading posts in education field will establish broader and convenient relations between the University and the establishment where they work.
On April 11, advisor to the rector of Azerbaijan university of Languages Vazeh Asgarov conducted seminar to the students of the department of Turkish languages of the University of Strasburg.
Vazeh Asgarov spoke about the history and activity of Azerbaijan University of Languages, informed students about the role and place of Azerbaijani language among the Turkish languages, at the same time answered different questions about student life in France and Azerbaijan at the meeting.
