UFAZ director: Preparations for election are successfully underway

“The preparations for presidential election are successfully underway. I believe that the voter turnout would be high as usual,” said Director of the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ), Doctor of Philosophy in Contemporary History at the University of Strasbourg Vazeh Asgarov as he was interviewed by Sechki-2018.az.
“2018 in Azerbaijan is the year of presidential election. The head of state also signed an order to declare 2018 as a Year of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. That is, our country is experiencing two significant public and political, as well as historical period. 20 years have passed since I used my voting rights for the first time in 1998. The election environment has been improved in Azerbaijan and much progress has been made in holding more open and transparent elections in the country over these years.
